Im sharing 4 takes on juicy turkey burgers: Mediterranean, Cajun, Mushroom Shallot, & Parmesan Turkey Burgers. Check out my favorite turkey burger toppings as well.
I love a good turkey burger. Its nice to have some variation in flavor profile and my wallet certainly appreciates it with the price of beef these days.

Also, feel free to sub ground chicken in any of these recipes if its what you have on hand or if youd rather make juicy chicken burgers.

The Best Side Dishes for Turkey Burgers
A great side dish should balance out and complement the flavors of your turkey burger. Here are some of the best options to consider
1. Sweet Potato Fries
Crispy, salty sweet potato fries are a crowd-pleasing pairing with turkey burgers. As an alternative to regular fries, sweet potato fries add more nutrients like vitamin A and fiber. Bake them in the oven with a little olive oil, salt, and paprika or cumin. The natural sweetness balances the savory turkey burger.
2. Coleslaw
Creamy coleslaw adds crunch and tang to balance the lean turkey patty. Using shredded cabbage and carrots mixed with vinegar, mayo, and seasonings like dill or caraway seeds, this side is simple to whip up. The crisp coolness pairs perfectly with a juicy turkey burger.
3. Grilled Vegetables
For a lighter, more veggie-packed option, go for grilled vegetables like zucchini, eggplant, peppers, or onions. Brush cut veggies with olive oil and grill until tender. The smoky char flavor complements the turkey burger wonderfully.
4. Greek Salad
A fresh Greek salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, feta, and onions offers a bright, lively contrast to turkey burgers. The mix of textures and Mediterranean flavors makes this side salad a perfect fit. Lemon and olive oil dressing pairs nicely.
5. Baked Beans
Warm, saucy baked beans supply protein, fiber, and savory sweetness – a tasty match for a turkey burger. Jazz up canned beans or cook dry beans from scratch, adding molasses, ketchup, mustard, onion, and garlic. The soft texture plays off a juicy burger.
6. Roasted Potatoes
Crispy roasted potato wedges or cubes are simple but delicious alongside turkey burgers. Potatoes roasted in the oven with olive oil, garlic, rosemary, and paprika offer flavor and heartiness. Skip the deep fryer for a healthier option.
7. Quinoa Salad
For an extra dose of plant-based protein, fiber, and nutrients, quinoa salad is a smart choice. Cooked quinoa tossed with chopped veggies like peppers, carrots or cucumber, olive oil, lemon, and fresh herbs creates a fresh, satisfying side.
8. Fruit Salad
A colorful, antioxidant-rich fruit salad makes a refreshing counterpoint for savory turkey burgers. Use a mix like watermelon, pineapple, grapes, oranges, and strawberries tossed in a honey lime dressing. The sweetness balances the umami of the burger.
