Easy Peasy Slow Cooker Pot Roast Recipe Notes
This easy slow cooker pot roast is an oldie but goodie that I adapted from my old Betty Crockers Cookbook (1978) (affiliate link), where it appears as a recipe designed to be wrapped in foil and slowly cooked in a 300F degree oven.
This week, a bottom round rump roast was on sale at my local market. It’s a great choice for Weight Watchers because it has less fat than many other beef roasts.
Mix ¼ cup of dried onions, 2 tablespoons of low-sodium instant beef bouillon, and ½ teaspoon of onion powder to make your own dry onion soup mix. I also chose a lighter cream of mushroom soup with less fat and sodium.
