How To Serve This Dish
Using the pan juices to make gravy is common, and I really think you should do it! It’s easy:
- Take the beef out of the pot and put it on a serving platter. Cover it to keep it warm.
- Strain the vegetable juices from the pot and put them back in the pot.
- Bring the juices to a simmer. In a different bowl, mix cornstarch and water to make a slurry. To help make a gravy, add it to the juices.
- If you need to, add more salt and pepper to the gravy after tasting it. Then I add a few tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to make it taste better and add some acidity.
I love serve the beef over mashed potatoes and a drizzle of gravy. But you can also make roasted vegetables or serve it over yellow rice.
