Getting Acquainted with Trader Joe’s Sirloin

How do I make Chimichurri Steak with Baked Potato?
This recipe is so easy to make and basically foolproof. Since the sirloin is already pre-cooked, you’re just going to heat it up in the oven. Put it in a baking dish and season it with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Then, add 2 tablespoons of butter and let it melt into the sirloin. This will make a nice, juicy, tender piece of meat.
You only need to poke the baked potato five or six times with a fork to let the steam escape while it cooks. You can air fry it or bake it. Either way, you’ll want to flip it over halfway so that it cooks evenly.
It’s time to dress up the sirloin and baked potato after they’re done cooking. As you can see the sirloin is perfectly pink and medium rare. You only need to put it on a plate, add more seasonings, and as much chimichurri sauce as you’d like. It’s already been sliced.
For the baked potato, cut it in half and stuff it with butter and cheddar cheese. Put it back in the oven or air fryer for a minute or two more until the cheese melts. After that, all you have to do is add sour cream and chives, if you want, and dinner is ready!
Tip: If you’re in a hurry and can’t wait 45 minutes for the baked potato (we’ve all been there!), use Trader Joe’s frozen mashed potatoes instead. Simply place them in a saucepan and heat them for 5-10 minutes. Easy and fast!.

Ingredients you will need for this meal
- Beef Sirloin Roast from grass-fed cows: I love this roast because it’s grass-fed, already cooked, and sliced. It only has three ingredients: beef sirloin, salt, and pepper. Yes, that’s it! It’s soft and juicy, but doesn’t have much flavor, so you’ll need to add your own sauces and seasonings. However, it makes a great base for many meals.
- Chimichurri: This chimichurri sauce is incredibly flavorful, delicious and herbaceous. You can put it on anything: bread, eggs, fish, potatoes, steak, you name it!
- Potato: You can air fry or bake the potato to make your baked potato. You can use any other side you like, though. Mashed potatoes would be great here, especially if you have some left over from my Potato Taquitos recipe.
- If you want to make a baked potato, shredded Sharp Cheddar cheese is a classic choice. But you can use any cheese you have on hand.
- Sour Cream: This creamy sour cream is another classic way to top baked potatoes. You can add green onions or chives as a garnish if you want.
