Step 2: How to make grilled pork loin chop with honey mustard glaze
Start by plugging in and heating up your George Foreman or similar grill. You can also just use a grill skillet on the stovetop or a barbecue grill outside.
Then add your pork loin chop to a pie plate or wide bowl. Add some garlic powder, salt, and pepper, along with a few shakes of olive oil.
Flip it over and make sure both sides are coated with the seasoning.
Add the pork loin chop to the grill and close the lid. It will take 5 to 7 minutes. It should be nice and golden brown and firm when you open it and check it.
If you have a meat thermometer the temp should register between 145F and 160F on the inside. 145F is medium rare and is the lower boundary for safe internal temps for pork. 160F is considered well done.
Remove the pork and place it on a plate to rest for about 5 minutes.
Step 3: Make the honey mustard glaze
While the pork is resting, make the honey mustard glaze. Combine the honey and the dijon mustard in a small bowl. You can also add a bit of molasses if you want.
Now all you have to do is generously coat the pork’s top with the glaze. If you want, you can then add some mozzarella cheese on top.
When cooking this on a grill, you can baste both sides while it’s cooking and then again when it’s done. I don’t normally do that when using the George Foreman grill.
Serve it with some steamed carrots, broccoli, and brown rice and you have a very healthy meal. Enjoy!
